CMiC Document Control is an integrated document management system which captures and archives ‘documents’ across the entire enterprise. Document Control allows users to manage all information assets including drawings, graphics, images, office documents, as well as webpages, email and video. A record is maintained of the various versions, and modifications that are made to all documents.
CMiC’s Enterprise Search is the organized retrieval of all structured and unstructured data residing on CMiC’s unified database within your organization. Enterprise Search creates an easily navigated interface for entering, categorizing and retrieving data securely, in compliance with security and data retention regulations.

CMiC Desktop integrates Microsoft office such as Outlook, Excel and Word applications into the system, reducing training time and costs, while allowing the bi-directional exchange of project data. CMiC integrates Outlook to with CMiC ECM folders to auto create CMiC objects such as RFI’s and Change Orders to name but a few, simply by drag and dropping emails into the folders. All queried data may be represented in Excel and or Word formats as well as Create any ulk import emails, and drag and drop attachments. Additionally, all emails sent through Outlook can be automatically tracked and archived in CMiC.
CMiC supports exports and imports from Microsoft Excel. Project and company-level reports can be exported in a Microsoft Excel-ready format from every object from within CMiC. Additionally, CMiC supports Microsoft Excel (CSV) imports from areas including: budget and contract SOVs, locations, submittals, punch lists and directories.
Real Time Integration uses XML adapters to increase interoperability by creating connections to outside systems and allowing a diverse set of solutions – including BIM, payment management and planrooms – to be integrated into the enterprise.
