Gord RawlinsPresident & CEO
Gord joined CMiC in June, 1986 as the Product Manager responsible for construction solutions. In 1989, he took on the responsibility of Team Lead, managing the design, development and release of CMiC’s first Oracle-based Construction Management software solution. During his early years at CMiC Gord personally implemented over two hundred construction management systems at various construction companies throughout North America. Gord became President in September, 2002, and since that time his leadership and technical expertise has been instrumental in guiding CMiC into a new era of product development and profitability. Gord holds a B.A. in English from York University, and a B.Ed. in Accounting and Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
Jeff WeissChief Revenue Officer
As the leader of the outside and inside sales, solutions consulting, marketing and channel management organizations, Mr. Weiss is responsible for driving revenue growth on a worldwide basis. With over 27 years of experience in the B2B software industry, he has created and managed CMiC’s successful partnerships with hundreds of North America’s leading construction firms. Leveraging CMiC’s deep capabilities and expertise in enterprise financial and project management, Mr. Weiss is expanding CMiC into project-based industries beyond construction. He joined CMiC in 1991 as a senior systems consultant and was promoted to Director of International Business in 1993 and to Vice President in 1995. Mr. Weiss holds an MS in Engineering from University of Toronto and an MBA from York University.
Pat ShahChief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Pat is responsible for overseeing CMiC’s day to day ongoing business operations, including ownership and board related Corporate Governance activities. He has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate management, financial stewardship, governance and advisory capacities. Prior to joining CMiC, Pat was the CFO for Poraver North America Limited, where he created an infrastructure including systems, policies, and procedures to handle daily operations, audit reviews and corporate governance activities. As Vice President in the Corporate Finance group at Ernst & Young, he developed a practice focused on providing M&A advisory services to clients in the Building and Construction products industry. Pat is a CPA, CA, CBV and holds an Honors BA from the University of Waterloo, majoring in Accounting with a minor in Economics.
Jason ApplebaumVice President, Global Services
Jason’s Construction and Software experience started at the completion of University while working on his family’s Construction job sites and working in a support/consulting capacity for a Global Law Matter & Accounting Software company. Joining the company in 1999 he has had multiple roles and functions within the CMiC Organization which has allowed him to contribute in many facets on strategic direction. For the past 8 years his primary focus has been managing all Service capacities for our clients and ensuring the highest level of Implementation experience. He is a graduate from University of Western Ontario with a degree in Business Administration. When he’s not walking his dog, playing hockey or baseball, you can see him watching our Toronto Maple Leafs with his family.
Oliver RitchieVice President, Product Strategy
Mr. Ritchie has spent the last 20 years of his career at CMiC, where he has played pivotal roles in product development and product management. In his current position as VP of Product Strategy, Mr. Ritchie designs and drives company-wide strategies focused on advancing business process best practices for the rapidly changing construction industry. A results-driven professional with deep experience in product design, the intersection of human experience and technology, and launching breakthrough innovations, Mr. Ritchie is at the vanguard of shaping the future of information technologies for the construction industry. As a thought leader, he serves on several corporate steering committees, has published multiple articles on executive management and leadership, and speaks frequently at industry forums. Mr. Ritchie holds a BS in Computer Science from York University.
Marek FapsoChief Technology Officer
Marek oversees all software developments at CMiC. Marek’s group develops software applications, provides programming support for delivered applications, performs research into new technologies to enhance future development efforts, performs quality assurance during the software development process, provides product documentation, and manages and maintains the internal CMiC computer network. His continuing missions are to maintain and evolve CMiC’s state-of-the-art development infrastructure, while keeping pace with the company’s dynamic growth, and to provide the best turnkey system integration solutions to CMiC’s customers. Marek has been with CMiC since July 1997. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Informatics from the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia.
